World Youth Day takes place in Madrid from the 11th August till 18th August. At World Youth Day young people from all over the world will come together to explore their faith, experience friendship and above all have fun. The programme will include music, drama, theatre, talks and discussion. You will be exhilarated, you will be tired,  but you will come home changed.

World Youth Day is a youth-oriented Catholic Church event. It is celebrated on a diocesan level annually, and at a week-long international event held every two to three years at different locations. Catholic Youth Care is the Irish organisation which is co-ordinating the participation from Ireland at a national level. Check out their website www.cyc.ie for up to date information on WYD2011. They have upto the minute information in WYD2011 here. At a parish level if you are interested in attending you should contact any member of the parish team or contact Marie directly on 085 7362203. To attend WYD2011 you must be 18 years of age or older.
