Exam Time

Every year at this time  a special candle is lit in our church  for the intentions of all who are sitting exams at this time.   Our candle burns as a visible sign  that we are remembering and praying for all examination students.

We remember also parents and grandparents who provide support and encouragement at home. Exam time is a very stressful time and our candle communicates a parish community who supports all concerned  in our prayers.

Whether you are a student attending our local schools or living in our parish you are  important to us and we pray for your success in your exams and whatever path you choose to take in life.  Below is a prayer that may be helpful to you at this time.

St. Kevin's Log On & Learn Graduation

Older members of the local community this week graduated from our Log On & Learn initiative which is a programme designed to develop ICT skills with people who have no previous experience in using computers.  It also develops leadership skills in our students who mentor and teach during the 8 week course.

Here are some pictures of the graduation.

St. Kevin's Log On & Learn
Here are some photos of the Log On & Learn programme which is taking place every Monday in St. Kevin's school. It is a 6 week programme aimed at Transition Year students helping older members of the community to start using a computer and to develop skills in key areas such as email, saving photos, booking holidays and concert tickets etc. It is a very practical course which also develops leadership skills in the "young teachers"!
