Parish Choir

img_0374Ballygall Parish Adult Church choir was formed over 30 years ago. During this time the choir has sung a variety of Sacred Music, old and new, uplifting those in the congregation, who sometimes sing, sometimes listen, to feel that they are praising the Lord and enjoying doing so. The Choir is a mixed four part group. We rehearse every Wednesday at 7.30 in the Church and sing at Sunday Mass at 12 noon. New members are always welcome.

Community Singing

“To sing is to pray twice”

At 6.30 p.m. every Saturday we gather together as a community to share in the Eucharist. By our congregational singing we express our unity and joy as we gather at the Lords’ Table. To enhance participation words and backing are provided.

Family Mass Group

The Family Mass Group was formed to reach out to children and to engage their interest and attention at Mass. The img_0346group works with the priests to help children understand the message of Jesus in the Gospel and the Eucharist. We support the children on their faith journey and help them to develop a loving relationship with Jesus that will grow with them into adult life. The children and their families are encouraged to take part in the Mass through readings, Gospel dramas, processions and symbols.

Family Offering Group

The Family Offering Envelope Campaign was set up when Ballygall Parish was designated as a full parish. A box of envelopes was given to each family who wished to contribute to the upkeep of our then fledgling Parish.

This was to provide a steady income to keep our Parish free from debt, and also, initially to save funds for our new Church. In 1988 our ‘New Church’ was completed and opened to much acclaim. Now our Family Offering contributions keep our Parish free from debt, help us to pay all our bills, and help us to save for all the big items that will be occurring now that our ‘New Church’ comes of age and will be in need of repair and refurbishment. Like all homes, God’s home has to be maintained and repaired when things go wrong.

We couldn’t do this without our wonderful contributors and collectors. They go out in all kinds of weathers, and their ‘customers’ welcome them each week. We are always looking for new collectors, so if you would like to help, or if you are not contributing already and would like to do so contact the Sacristy.

Legion of Mary

ourladyThe Legion of Mary is made up of Catholics. It is a very important apostolate of the Laity. The objective of the Legion is the Glory of God through the holiness of its members. The sanctification of its members is the springboard for its Catholic action. Before it is set up in a parish the Legion must have the blessing of the Parish Priest and be available for any service of Catholic action. The spirit of the Legion is that of Mary herself. Its members see in Mary the Mother of God, a model of humility, patience, prayer and faith. The local Praesidium meet each Wednesday at 7.30pm in the Church. Its work involves the visitation of homes, assisting in the parish repository, and conducting of Patrician Meetings. New members are always welcome.

My Ballygall TV Cameras Group

This exciting new service allows parishoners and others to watch church services over the internet from the comfort of their home.  In order to make the services as interactive and meaningful as possible for our viewers a number of volunteers have made themselves available to operate the video switcher.  This allows us to follow the priest and readers throughout the service.  If you are interested and available to join us please send an email with your details to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
